Light Yagami

Light Yagami is a Straight A student and one day discovers a notebook on his schools campus. Inside the notebook, the rule stating that "The humans name that is written in this note shall die". Light decides to test it out, and ends up killing a gang member nearby trying to bother a young women. Amazed by its power, Light decides to rid the world of Evil by killing all the crimnimals he comes across. After a majority of the killings he is given the name 'Kira' by a offical website. He then meets a Rouge shinigami named Ryuk, the owner of the Notebook. No one really knows that Light Yagami is Kira not even his family. World's Greatest Detective L has took action by finding Kira. L suspects Light is Kira since he was related to Soichiro Yagami (his father) and since Soichiro was in the Police force. Very soon L announces himself to Light.

L Lawliet

L Lawliet is the World's Greatest Detective. Nobody really knows his real identity. In the series he was caught eating alot of Sweets (Cake, Ice cream, candy, etc.).

L is very simple but is a genuis. He is always wearing a Simple White Shirt and blue baggy jeans. He has messy hair, and baggy eyes. He is famous for the way he sits. If he doesn't sit the way he sit's, his reasoning ablity drops by 40% (according to L). L dislikes wearing socks because he feels no need for them. L is always bare-footed in the series (except for one episode he was caught wearing shoes at Touou University). He does strange things when ever he is bored (stack suger cubes, plays with his toes, etc.). After working with the Japanese Police in the Kira case, he has a large percentage of Light Yagami of being Kira.

Misa Amane

Misa Amane is a famous model, singer, actor, etc. After L revealed his identity to Light Yagami, she appeared in the series. Misa Amane's parents were murdered in front of her eyes. Kira has killed the murderer, she has been grateful to him ever since. Misa was the 2nd character to obtain a Death Note, given to her by the shinigami Rem. She then made the 'deal' with Rem. In exchange for half of her life span for the shinigami eyes. She is able to see the humans life span and name except for other death note owners (including herself). She attempted contacting the real kira by brodcasting videos through Sakura TV. After she gathered enough information she then planned to meet Kira in Aoyama. Misa spoted Kira later that day. She decided to do a little research and annouce herself to him. During Light and Misa's chit chat. Misa told Light that she loved him and wanted him to make her her girlfriend.
